Pickups have seen a massive explosion in popularity over the past decades. No longer are they only for the working man but now, office workers, soccer moms, doctors and every average Joe seems to be driving one. 

And why not? Modern pickup trucks have all the bells and whistles and are fairly luxurious to boot. They really are not only modern motoring marvels but just a pretty awesome mode of transport all around.

So in this quiz, we have set a challenge. Name 35 different pickups, from all over the world, by just reading three facts about them. Yes, it's as tough as it sounds! 

For instance, can you name the American pickup introduced in the 1970s that is considered the first of the modern pickups? Or what about a pickup released this year from a luxury car maker that you would never consider to field a vehicle such as this? Finally, what about the pickup in the 1960s that was so rubbish, it sold only 851 units in three years before it was pulled?

The top selling truck in America today, this vehicle has a number of power plant options including a range of V8 motors. It is called the Lobo in Mexico. Can you name it?

Perhaps the most iconic truck ever released by Ford, the F-150 is simply loved in the United States. In fact, this is the biggest selling truck in the country for the past three decades! Not only that, but at certain times, it was also the most popular vehicle in the country in terms of sales.

This truck was first introduced to the American market in 2005. There are currently three models available, all powered by a V6 24-valve SOHC i-VTEC engine. The engine pushes out around 250 brake horsepower. What truck are we talking about?

A sports utility truck, the Ridgeline was first marketed by Honda in 2005. It is currently in its second generation and is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine.

This medium-sized pickup is available in a number of configurations. Introduced in 2003, it is the same vehicle as its stablemate, the GMC Canyon.

A convertible pickup with a retractable hardtop. Sounds horrid, right? And it was. Produced between 2003 and 2006, this vehicle was a failure and quickly disappeared from the market. What pickup are we talking about?

A pickup with a difference, the SSR was produced by Chevrolet between 2003 and 2006. In fact, SSR stands for Super Sport Roadster with the vehicle actually a convertible pickup with a retractable hardtop! Unfortunately for Chevrolet, sales for the SSR were not exactly stellar.

Volkswagen Saveiro - The Saveiro pickup from Volkswagen is marketed in South America as a coupe utility. It is based on the Volkswagen Gol and is powered by either a 1.0-liter or 1.6-liter gasoline engine.
