About This Quiz

Car brands come from all over the globe, although they're generally clustered in a handful of countries. Launching a new automaker requires a significant financial investment, plus plenty of expert talent in design, engineering, manufacturing, distribution, marketing, and more. Even getting parts and raw materials to make cars is a tall task, which is why you'll often find automakers clustered in different regions of a country, pooling their resources to cut down on costs.

It's true that many of the car brands people can name off the top of their heads come from the United States, Japan, and Germany. Those three countries all boast plenty of financial and manufacturing might, plus have enjoyed that advantage for a long time. Still, other countries like Italy, France, and England have historically been significant players in the automotive industry.

More recently, countries like South Korea and China have become big players in the automotive industry. As time rolls on, the brands from that section of the world will likely become even more prominent. In addition, there are some oddball automakers from countries you might not even suspect. Test your knowledge of car brands from all over and take this quiz!
